Register for each auction
Verify your email and accept the bidder terms in your profile first. Then open the auction page and register for that auction. Review its buyer's premium, tax, payment, pickup, and shipping terms, choose an available delivery method, and acknowledge the auction's terms before confirming.
When approval is required
Some auctions let you bid as soon as you register. Others require the auction company to approve you first, and an auction may ask for identity details or enough available marketplace escrow before approval. Approval is decided by the auction company running the auction, not the marketplace.
- Approval for one auction doesn't carry over to another auction or another auction company.
- Register early — approval can take time, especially close to a webcast auction.
- Keep enough available escrow in your marketplace pool so eligible bids and wins remain covered.
Check your status before lots close
Your registration page shows whether you're approved, pending, or still need to complete a step. Confirm you're approved before a lot you want starts to close or before a webcast auction opens — a pending registration can't place bids.
