Terms are set per auction
Each auction company sets its own terms for each auction, so the buyer's premium, taxes, payment methods, preview times, pickup window, and shipping options can differ from one auction to the next. Open the auction page and read its terms before you register or bid.
What to check
- Buyer's premium and any taxes or fees added to the hammer price.
- Whether registration needs approval, a deposit, or escrow.
- Preview details, the pickup location and window, and whether shipping is offered.
- Payment methods and deadlines.
When something isn't clear
If a term isn't clear, ask the auction company before bidding. Open the company linked from the auction and use its contact details. Once you have a purchase or invoice, you can also choose Contact auction office there to start a message.
